LOVE IN EVERY WORD- RESPECT IN EVERY ACTION- CONFIDENCE IN EVERY HEART About Me I received my Bachelor’s of Science Degree from the University of Wisconsin- Madison in Elementary Education (PK-3rd Grade) in 1998 and I am licensed as a professional educator in the state of Wisconsin. Additionally, in 2004, I obtained my Master’s Degree in Counseling from the University of Wisconsin- Madison and am a licensed Professional School Counselor. In 1998, I had the privilege of completing my student teaching experience in the Kindergarten program at Queen of Peace. For my first teaching job, I taught Kindergarten for Montgomery County Public Schools in Bethesda, Maryland. In 2000, Queen of Peace called me back to Madison and I have been here in some capacity as a Kindergarten Teacher and/or School Counselor ever since. Room KA has been my home at QP for many years and I am excited for another wonderful school year! My husband Chris and I have two children: Aari (a 6th grader at QP) and William (a 1st Grader at QP). When I am not teaching, I enjoy being in nature, hiking, staying active running, travel, cooking, playing with our dog Stella Roo, and spending time with family and friends. I am excited to be able to embark on an engaging learning adventure and faith-filled experience with your child this school year. "The mission of the K5 program at Our Lady Queen of Peace School is to provide a nurturing environment that supports each child’s development in a holistic manner. We offer a classroom setting where each child’s academic, socio-emotional and spiritual development is encouraged through hands-on lessons, open-ended discovery, creative expression and direct instruction. In this setting, grounded in our Catholic faith, the students gain the skills necessary to become innovative problem solvers, socially confident learners, and responsible followers of Christ."
